"WAIT ON ME" (Part 1) was produced by Marcus "Churchboi Askew" and written by Meshawn Jones, Justin Norvell Crowder, Vurdell "Vscript" Muller and "WAIT ON ME" (Part 2) was co-written by Raheem DeVaughn. "WAIT ON ME" (Part 2) featuring Raheem DeVaughn is available now on all platforms, via the New Era Soul Records/SRG-ILS Group label imprint. The song will also be featured on the upcoming album, "Raheem DeVaughn Presents, From Lust Till Dawn", globally available on May 6th, and available for pre-orders now.

"Wait On Me" (Part 1), was inspired by the love and appreciation that I have for 90's R&B and I wanted to reintroduce the new generation to my version of the Donell Jones classic, "Where I Wanna Be", mentions Georgia. The visuals were were exclusively premiered on ThisIsRnB.com and directed by DNA Videos. On "Wait On Me" (Part 2) featuring Raheem DeVaughn, "I just wanted someone who would show up and give me that old R&B vibe, but still talk his shit in a modern way...and that is Raheem ," she adds. "You never know what Part 3 and Part 4 might bring to the masses," Georgia chuckles.

ABOUT GEORGIA REIGN: 
Georgia Reign, born in Atlanta, GA, was raised by a single mother as the oldest of four children. Georgia’s performing skills were fostered early starting from age 6, singing and winning a school talent show in the 2nd grade, while drawn to dance from grade 3 via exposure to ballet, modern, jazz and hip-hop rhythmic forms. Becoming a true performing prodigy by age 12, Georgia was professionally discovered at a local dance contest she won by twisting a challenging down south dance while on skating wheels. She instantly began working as a companion stage dancer for many Atlanta artists. Over the next few years, Georgia’s young dance career flourished, touring the world at age 15 with Bobby Valentino on the BET sponsored “Scream Tour IV” and performing various dates with renowned artist Bobby Brown and yet still graduating early from a college preparatory academy at 16.

While genuinely passionate about dancing, Georgia’s mom constantly pushed her toward singing ultimately leading Georgia to join a promising girl group. Deciding the group ultimately was not for her; she took the experience and set out on a solo career. One of the unforeseen “blessings in disguise” was that Adonis recognized her standout talents and rejoined with Georgia as a collaborator on her career soon after the group split. This friendship caused the two to land a Grammy Nomination for the song 2012 on Chris Brown’s Fortune album. During previous recording sessions, Georgia was introduced to Raheem DeVaughn. Raheem became extremely impressed with Georgia’s rich alto-infused vocal ability, fiery spunky energy and tremendously strong work ethic; feeling within her there was an untapped potential for superstardom. What was immediately evident was her talent for telling a story in a way that only she could. Later Georgia would go on to sign to multi-platinum, award winning artist, Neyo as an artist and songwriter. In her songwriting there is a truthfulness and attitude that breathes “struggle and triumph”, and for her, at a very young age. Georgia’s attitude is personified by the “Virgo” in her of beauty and intelligence, a quick-witted complete woman who exerts her female independence with determination and tenacity. A lover of tattoos, one of her pieces of art is quoted from her biggest musical influencer, Michael Jackson, “I’m never pleased with anything, I’m a perfectionist. Utilizing her rich Atlanta, GA accent, she allows passion to pour out of every note that she hits to complement her lyrical directness. FAMED DJ KAY SLAY REPORTEDLY LOSES BATTLE WITH COVID-19

April 18, 2022 - It is currently being reported that Fames DJ & Producer DJ Kay Slay has lost his battle with Covid-19. Slay has been hospitalized with the disease since December 2021. There had been several reports over the past few months regarding his recovery. It was initially thought he would make a full recovery; however, he unfortunately passed away this past weekend.

Author Jenelle Simpson Releases “Commitment To A Deceitful Liar”…

Toronto, On - “Commitment To A Deceitful Liar”available now, is a non-fictional book by first time author, Jenelle Simpson.   Simpson is a senior law clerk, paralegal, motivational speaker, and life coach in Toronto. “Commitment To A Deceitful Liar” is a look inside the life of the author, raised in a West Indian home with all its beliefs and myths. How to unlearn instilled toxic generational cycles and relearn how to move to new levels in our lives. Simpson kept all the images and experiences of her growing up, close.  Her armor.  The first-time author struggled with telling all for this book, but truth is the story and Simpson reveals all of hers. Sexual abuse, rape, experiences surrounded by drugs and strippers and, various struggles within the black community, and her struggle to escape repeated generational cycles passed down. Simpson readily admits, her truth is not always pretty. Her old self would have worried what people thought, but her new self believes that only the raw truth speaks to people. The truths, you find through the growing and healing process, remembering, no one takes the same route to get to the same place. 

Simpson uses some Jamaican Patios dialect to bring the Jamaican culture and its effect alive for her readers. The author masterfully intertwines the different cultures as a background for“Commitment To A Deceitful Liar.”   The title first came from the shock and pain Simpson felt from a deeply personnel experience.  In the moment, she was numb, but it was not a place the strong-willed Simpson was going to linger.  The title, today, serves as much more than one life incident, but an inclusive umbrella of sorts.  Lies come from many different sources throughout our lives.  They can be dangerous.  Once we begin unraveling those lies, for answers, we don’t always like what we find.  But, through truth, we learn to forgive and create our own walk-through life, not in the eyes of others… but our own.

Detroit Rap Group LFMG Drops "BETTER" Single & Video

Detroit, Michigan - Michigan based record label Best Hand Entertainment, announces the highly anticipated single and video release “Better” by LFMG.   “Better” is the debut release from Rap duo Darryl Pointer, (D.P) and Arron Rice (A.R.) known as LMFG. The artists have worked together from a young age to perfect a sound that is theirs alone. “Better”is that sound.  Taking inspiration from rap history and finding common ground with their own backgrounds, LMFG carved out a dedicated sound. BET ANNOUNCES SOUL TRAIN AWARDS AT APOLLO THEATER…

For the first time in its 33-year history, the annual celebration will tape in New York City, joining forces with the non-profit Apollo, now in its 88th year and widely considered the soul of American Culture, for one of its first in-person events in 2021. Celebrating the best in soul music and the television show’s 50th anniversary, the "Soul Train Awards” recognizes the best in Soul, R&B, and Hip Hop from both established industry legends and the next generation of promising artists. The inspiration and concept for “Lessons” came to Eric around 3am on the morning of his 13th wedding anniversary. Eric was sitting in his studio feeling rather creative and as he was reflecting over his life, he started working on an idea that would soon become the song, "Lessons.” He posted 60 seconds of the song online and then went to bed. What Eric woke up to, was the biggest reaction he has received from his music in years: thousands of his fans downloaded the snippet of the song. “God has a funny way of showing you lessons. Often times, we feel good about a release, but rarely do we have the luxury of knowing ahead of time that it works,” says Eric.

"With the remix, I didn’t want to just get three of my favorite singers, I also wanted three of my favorite writers. I’m honored to get their perspectives on the ups and downs of love and how it all leads us to where we are supposed to be," mentions Roberson.
