BOUNCE TV SERIES "MANN & WIFE" RENEWED FOR SECOND SEASON, RETURNING IN 2016...

Following a record breaking season on Bounce TV, the new and original series Mann & Wife has been renewed for a second season. The show will return spring 2016.

Starring David and Tamela Mann, the series follows the newlywed, second-chance sweethearts as they laugh and love their way through the ups and downs of life as a blended family, each with two children from previous marriages. Mann & Wife features a vibrant supporting cast: Vivica A. Fox, portraying Daniel's ex-wife; Tony Rock, playing Daniel's new partner on the police force and JoMarie Payton as Lorraine, Daniel's overbearing mother. Series co-creator Roger Bobb (The Rickey Smiley Show, House of Payne) serves as executive producer and director.

The series premiere of Mann & Wife bowed on April 7and quickly became the network's most-watched original series ever.  The following week, Mann & Wife joined Empire in the rare company of television series that increased ratings from week one to week two when the second episode increased viewership over the series premiere episode to become Bounce TV's most-watched original to date. 

Real-life husband and wife team David Mann (House of Payne, Meet The Browns) and Tamela Mann (Madea's Big Happy Family, Sparkle) star and serve as executive producers of Mann & Wife.

Reality Star Draya Michele to Make Acting Debut in TV One Original, Will to Love...

Reality television star Draya Michele will be making her acting debut this month in an exclusive TV One original film. Michele will star alongside Marques Houston and Keshia Knight-Pulliam in the TV One original, Will to Love.

Directed by Chris Stokes and Joel Layogan, the film follows the story of Jamal Hawkins; played by Houston, a bachelor who must marry within 90-days to earn an expected inheritance from his grandfather. In comes Michele, who is out to find and marry the baller of her dreams. This will stand as Michele's first acting role, after having starred in the Basketball Wives LA franchise.

Others featured in this film include Shondrella Avery, Black Thomas, Valarie Pettiford, and Gary Sturgis. Will to Love will debut on TV One June 27, 2015!

A Night at the Improv with Jay Phillips...

Tonight's show at the Cleveland Improv was definitely one to remember.  The show featured comedians Rob Ward, Patrick Melton, and headliner Jay Phillips. Phillips is no newcomer to comedy, having been all over HBO comedy specials and Def Comedy Jam. He also carried a leading role in the 2008 film Semi Pro alongside Will Ferrell, Woody Harrelson, and Outkast's Andre Benjamin. He's now a part of the new BET sketch series The Xperiment! 

Rob Ward emcee'd the show, offering his own unique brand of comedy that had the audience at ease. Ward often emcees a number of shows here at the Improv, and continues to build his following with each show. He always does a fantastic job with warming the crowd up. 

Patrick Melton followed Ward with a hilarious set that had the audience laughing energetically from the start. There wasn't necessarily one thing that Melton focus on. He talked about a variety of topics, but it was more conversational. That's what made him easily relate with the crowd, ultimately wining them over, Both Ward and Melton were the added bonus of the night, as with the Improv, only the headliner is advertised. You don't necessarily know who you're getting with the openers, so being completely honest, the show could go one of two ways. Tonight was definitely one of those nights where each comedian rocked hard.

Following the trend of the night, Jay Phillips commandeered the crowd with no trouble whatsoever. His often animated delivery made for a fun time, and his style, also conversational, definitely won the audience immediately. It was basically like he was spending the night talking with friends, and nothing was off limits. One of the things that stood out for me was his impression of President Barack Obama. Anyone in the audience would say he was "spot on" with the President's dialect. We definitely can't give too much away in reference to what he joked about, but we emphatically say that Phillips is absolutely hilarious, and you'd be doing yourself a disservice by not going out to see him, wherever the is.
