There’s nothing I enjoy more than shining a spotlight on the brightest and most talented personalities of urban culture. Coming together with KingTif of The King Tif Network has been one of the greatest and more satisfying moments of my career as an independent Journalist! Certainly, this isn’t the first time we’ve united to work together or support each other; but for me, each time is greater than the last. It’s hard; yet easy, to make it all make sense. I’ll say that most who know me know that I make it my purpose and business to shine a light on those around me who are doing well for themselves and others. It’s extremely important to me, partly because of the direction our culture has shifted. I want people to see that it’s Ok; and necessary, to support one another.

It was absolutely a no-brainer to unite once again with KingTif to celebrate the man of media he has become. Allow me to provide you with a little background. We first met nearly two years ago at a movie premiere for a local

Filmmaker. I was there as a fan/movie-goer, and he was there actually working. Immediately, I saw who he was, what he did, and how damned good he was at his craft. It was the start of an amazing friendship. He would later provide media coverage for a platform I put together, I’ve been featured on The KingTif Network, and now it only made sense to get him over here to U.G. Digital Magazine. He has become the natural go to for all things media with many around the city, and his work speaks for itself. He’s coined himself “The Male Oprah”, but I see him in a much bigger space and light. He has a genuine connection with today’s generation and what they are looking for with film and production. He’s gives praise amongst his peers where necessary, and he’s always willing to work with those around him. I look back on my own rise in local and independent media, and I can only wish that someone like him; or he himself, was around when I was learning. So many around him are learning from the magic he’s creating, and it’s time the world gets to know the king himself.
